Pay Attention!

Most people have read about, heard about, or practice meditation. Many people have believed that meditating is only for Buddhists or other Eastern philosophies. The truth is meditation can be added to any religion or life! You don't need to believe in any organized religion or group to practice meditation. In fact, it is not unlike prayer, where one is simply focusing on a thought or thoughts.


Meditation is simply being in a quiet space and relaxing your mind, body and spirit. You can meditate just about anywhere, anytime. You don't need special clothes, a certain type of mat or cushion to sit on, or even a specific thought to think or phrase to say. You get to decide how, when and what to think. One tactic that works well for many people is to simply focus on your breathing. That's it. Close your eyes and breathe

One tactic that works well for many people is to simply focus on your breathing. That's it. Close your eyes and breathe in deeply,then breathe out. Practice focusing on your breathing, beginning with 10 or 15 minute sessions. Try to not think of anything, though that is admittedly difficult to do. Just acknowledge the thought and let it go.


It's that simple. You will be amazed at how much better you feel.
